Values

Katie values religious liberty, our children's future, pro-life initiatives, your second amendment rights, deregulation, medical freedom, bureaucratic accountability, and hard work. She is committed to serve WE THE PEOPLE legislatively to promote these values.

Religious Liberty

Every American has the right to practice their faith freely, without government interference. Yet during the pandemic, our state treated churches as non-essential and shut them down—acting as a spiritual authority it has no right to be. America’s heritage is deeply rooted in Christianity. The state must never prohibit the free exercise of religion.

Our Posterity

We have failed our children in recent years. Masking kids during the pandemic was wrong, and Critical Race Theory has no place in K-12 classrooms. We cannot disengage. We must speak up respectfully, replace failing leaders with better ones, and get actively involved in our schools and communities.

Pro-life

I would not be where I am today without my children. Having kids is one of the best character builders in life. Sacrificing personal aspirations for the sake of another teaches humility. It is a small representation of what Jesus Christ did for us. I fervently believe that life begins at conception, and that a baby is always a blessing.

2nd Amendment

I wholeheartedly support your second amendment liberties. However guised, the fear of the unknown seems to be the basis for most gun control arguments. Education is key. I cannot, will not support, nor fully understand, politicians who advocate for gun control without ever personally controlling a gun.

Medical Freedom

No autonomous adult should have medical decisions made by the government. Medical mandates violate the fundamental liberties this country was founded on—your body is yours, not the state’s. Exercise, good nutrition, and cutting sugar do far more for long-term health than any vaccine. Take responsibility for your own health.

Deregulation

More regulations, laws, and spending are not the solution. Regulations should protect individual rights and liberties—not burden law-abiding citizens and small businesses. We are suffering from regulatory overreach and arrogance. A simpler, practical regulatory environment is essential for freedom and success.

Bureaucratic Accountability

We must stop electing arrogant politicians with deep personal struggles and addictions. You cannot lead from behind. While I have my own struggles, I am healthy, have a strong marriage, and am a loving, present mother. The public must stay informed and hold elected officials accountable by asking tough questions about their votes.

Hard Work

I truly believe in people—and in what’s possible when we’re willing to put in the effort to grow. Hard work, curiosity, and a willingness to learn aren’t always easy, but they are worthwhile. When we choose to keep growing and give our best, our future is bright. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and invest in bettering Michigan together.
